We are looking for people to join our show security team at the Brighton Centre. 

Our current vacancies are:  Casual Venue Show Control 

Contract:
 Flexible casual
Working Pattern: Casual / variable
Reason for post: Additional resources to meet demand of workload

Please note:
Roles are offered on a casual basis only
All applicants must be aged 18 or over
Interview dates will be arranged directly with those who make it past the shortlisting process
Final closing date for application is 31 August but maybe be reduced if places are filled prior to this date

Purpose of the Job

To provide a security and crowd management function for the venue during concerts and other public events to ensure the safety and wellbeing of visitors and staff

Job Description

  • Must be S.I.A. approved
  • To man venue's access points using ticket scanners and remain vigilant
  • To undertake body searches and bag searches under direction from management
  • To offer assistance and advice to customers who may be behaving in an inconsiderate way. To resolve disputes between customers in an efficient, effective and safe manner. Where necessary, to detain any individuals pending arrival of the police and, where appropriate and requested by management, to operate the venue's right to eject individuals in a safe and respectful manner
  • To provide roaming supervision to ensure safe crowd management
  • To uphold instructions from managers in relation to Health & Safety, accessibility and council policies

The job requires morning, daytime, evening and overnight work throughout the week, and including weekends. Shift patterns do vary.

Due to the nature of the job you will need to be physically fit.
