David Gilmour, best known as guitarist, vocalist and writer with Pink Floyd, is also renowned for his solo work: his 2006 album On An Island was Number 1 in the UK and achieved Top 10s in many countries. In 2014 Pink Floyd released its final album, The Endless River, topping the charts in over 20 countries, while David’s new album, Rattle That Lock, released on 18 Sept 2015, will be his fourth.
David’s 2015 tour dates are the first since 2006, and this Brighton appearance is a special ‘Preview show’, before a short run of European concerts, culminating in 5 shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall. David’s live appearances are much anticipated, as much for the quality of his songs as his musicianship, including his guitar playing, which has led to him being acclaimed as ‘Best Fender guitar player ever’, amongst other accolades.
