One of Britain’s most-beloved soul pop voices, the multi-award winning artist Will Young, has announced “The Evergreen 25th Anniversary Tour” – a celebratory 16-date tour across the UK with his full band, performing all the hits across his two-decade-plus journey in music.

The tour kicks off in February 2027, coinciding with 25 years since Will’s landmark Pop Idol win.

Who knew entering a competition by cutting out a piece from the newspaper would lead to the most exciting 20 weeks of my life in Pop Idol and a relationship with the public that has lasted for so long. People voted and trusted me and that has forever been a dream come true. I can’t wait to celebrate with the full band and get to play ‘Evergreen’ as well as all the songs that have come since from ‘Light My Fire' to ‘You and I’ to ‘Leave Right Now' to ‘Jealousy' and onwards. Can’t wait to see everyone who trusted in me during Pop Idol and since, at the anniversary shows.”

Since catapulting virtually-overnight to international fame from winning the inaugural Pop Idol in 2002, Will Young has carved a flourishing career in music and stage, earning two BRIT Awards, an Olivier Award nomination, four No.1 and eleven UK Top 10 albums, and eleven Top 10 singles. 

“The Evergreen 25th Anniversary Tour” marks Young’s first tour since his intimate, sold-out acoustic tour in 2024, in support of his most recent Top 5 album, “Light It Up”. In between the music, Young is a Sunday Times best-selling author – his books and successful podcast in the mental health, wellbeing and LGBTQ+ space has cemented him as a leading voice in this field. He is also a passionate campaigner for animal welfare and rights, and more recently he has shared his passion for gardening with fans through “Will Young’s Garden Diary” on social media, which has already garnered over 5.6 million views.
